Congratulations to Drake! The Canadian made Billboard history with
the most #1s on their R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart. This week he
surpassed the previous record set by Usher for the most #1 records on
Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay charts since its inception 22 years
ago. This happened after Lil Wayne’s new single ”Believe Me
“ featuring his YMCMB labelmate Drake took over top of the chart. This is Drizzy’s 14th #1 cut. Says a statement by Billboard:
Lil Wayne and Drake rewrite R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay
history, as “Believe Me” rises 2-1. With the ascent, featured artist
Drake scores his 14th No. 1, passing Usher (13) for the most leaders in
the chart’s 22-year history. Meanwhile, Lil Wayne becomes just the third
act, following Drake and Usher, to reach a double-digit No. 1 sum, as
“Believe” becomes his 10th topper. The track also reaches the top of Rap
Airplay.
