The rivalry that exist between two of Nigeria's young hip hop stars, David Adeleke, better known as Davido, and Ayo Balogun, the one who is better known as Wizkid, is taking a new dimension as they have taken the war outside the shores of the country, trading words on Twitter in far away New York City, USA.
Though have been trying to shield their words, those who know that they are not the best of friends say the barbed tweets they keep posting are aimed at one another.
The recent tweet fight took place recently when the two hot stars were invited for a show in the city, with Wizzy having the first show a week before Omo Baba Olowo, O.B.O, Davido.
Wizkid fires the first salvo when he posted on his Twitter handle he does the proper shows at proper venues, a reference to Davido's botched show in the same New York City, in March this year, when lots of his fans were mad at him due to his substandard performance, and the police had to close down the venue so as to avoid any break of law and order.
To rub salt into Davido's injury, Wizkid posted:
Just landed in NYC! Lets turn up! We do proper shows nd proper venues! Lion!!! #Teamwizkid”
But Davido went mad at the comments and also took to Twitter to fire his own tirades at Wizkid. As much as he never mentioned names, those in the know can tell you who the angry words were meant for.
Can Davido and Wizkid ever agree?
